Hey all,

Need some help with my HVAC control unit. I'm looking to buy a new one, this units not worth repairing. Problem is it doesnt match any units I can find online. Its an AC truck, but only has selections for AC, Heat, Defrost. All the AC units I find online have a bunch of different modes for AC.

Anyone know why my trucks odd and how to get a new unit that matches?

All the factory A/C controls I’ve seen have a cable to adjust the temp, and large plastic vacuum connector on the part that controls A/C, defrost, etc. There is a big plastic/rubber vacuum line connector that plugs into the control, and the lines run to the vacuum motors for the hvac.
The control head and it’s connection to the vacuum lines changed a little over the years, although the vacuum motors seem to have stayed about the same.

I love that you want to keep original in that case maybe repair that one. Everything comes apart( with work) so get a similar unit and swap the arm over I say. If it was assembled it can be disassembled, maybe some rivets.
