Jack for Spare 35’s

Any ideas of a good jack to keep behind the seat for a full size 35” spare on a K10?

Have large floor jack at home for most work, but something to keep in the truck to swap a flat tire.

I think I’ve used the stock jack out of my 16 F350. Contemplating finding one and just using it, unless someone has a better idea.

Why not a good size scissor jack and a couple of hunks of 2x8

My factory jack for my suburban lifts my 33s no problem and has a couple of inches of room left. Any mounts nicely in its factory spot. Now if I could find my tire iron I'd be good to go.

A good scissor jack with a long crank handle not one of those stamped sheet metal ones

My thoughts so far.

The front and rear axles seem to be the best place to jack from in order to not need a really high jack or tons of stacked blocks.

With that, I don’t know why but the scissor jacks make me nervous. As well as a small footprint base and jacking point of most bottle jacks.

The mechanical bottle jack of the F350 won’t leak.

If this one above would fit behind the seat, it may not be bad. Still hydraulic so have to worry about seals lasting.

Again strictly for spare tire usage away from the garage, and mostly like used by one of my teenagers if needed.

I've been carrying the same bottle jack for years, with it often stored in the bed, exposed to the elements. Even the cheap bottle jacks are pretty darn reliable. No matter which type of jacking device you choose, there are going to be minor safety concerns that you need to be aware of. Including factory jacks. The only way to avoid that is to carry a floor jack, planks of hardwood and a jack stand.

Some of my scissor jacks and what I like about them. All of them have more height extension than bottle jacks.The tops have a good size contact patch and the bases are stable if you set them on concrete or a piece of wood. The top one is a stock mazda b2200 jack,they are sturdy not as sturdy as the next 2,but sturdy and the crank handle us heavy and 3 feet long. The next 2 are Napa,they are heavy duty and have long crank handles. Nest 2 are cheap scissor jacks that I wouldn't trust for anything except a flat tire on compact if nothing else was available.

I have a HMMWV H1 scissor jack with an Agile Offroad adapter that works great for a wide variety of vehicles. I've it for several years and love it.

I can't remember the last time I had a flat. 30 or 40 years ago. I have 4 trucks, none carry a spare tire. I carry an 12volt inflater with sealant option in all of the vehicles. If that for some reason wouldn't work, It's rollback time.
