ive never rebuilt, is this rebuildable?

So what is core value for a 350 block? $75?

All my used blocks are sitting in my garage, because i can't bear to part with them. Even though one is not practically rebuildable with a cracked cylinder wall....

Well i was gunna scrap it but scrap yard priced me at $4 per hundred so ya figure about 200lb for a block =$8 and i couldnt scrap it for that. So its tucked away in the back of my storage shed. (My suburban lol)

i guess what i was trying to get at is advertise it as a rebuildable core 350, or see if a machine shop would buy it?

That the only scrap yard around? Some places pay a lot more for certain things. The place local to me pays a much higher price for "heavy steel". Things like blocks, rotors, drums, heads, steering knuckles, etc. fetch a lot more cash than your average "sheet steel" price.

That does sound like a light iron price to me. Rims fetch the most as far as steel, aluminum rims bring a good price too.

i had a wild thought:
We should all rebuild the engine----you have a "good" block, i have a good 350 crank, your pistons are rods are good, i assume. i have a good 962 cam, although i've mixed up the lifters, but we should probably go with a roller anyways. My iron heads can be refurbished.

And then we raffle the engine off and give the proceeds to like the Lost Wages victims fund or something. Or keep the money for ourselves.
