Ya swap that tpi pump for one from 96 5.7 gmt400. That should give you the fuel you need they run 60 psi...

I got an even better idea, I'm tired of dealing with the factory tank so I'm throwing it in the garbage and installing a 15 gallon fuel cell where the spare tire goes. I got a knock off bosch 044 fuel pump the size of a beer can I'm going to externally mount. If that won't work in going with a areomotive pump.

What did you do with the other wheels you had on it. The solid aluminum ones?

It's been a long time since I updated, got a ton of work done to the truck.

For starters I rebuilt the 14 bolt semi floater, got rid of the gov bomb posi unit and replaced it with a Detroit locker. Also got a new ring and pinion so now it's a 4.10 ratio, also acquired a 4l80 I'm going to build up so I can drive it on the highway.

Got the 15 gallon fuel cell installed finally. Just ordered the fuel line and fittings from summit. It's going to be -8 stainless braided from the fuel cell to the Bosch 044 pump, then a pressure gauge, next a tree anodized filter to -6 line that will tie into the existing stainless line that goes to the fuel injection.

Thanks Cobb!

More progress today, I'm shooting for a fire up this holiday weekend.

I don't care how long you spend designing your fuel system on paper, when you go to thread everything together you find you ordered a bunch of ass backwards **** but end up using it anyways somewhere. I'm now on my 4th fitting order and I had to pay the overnight shipping if this thing's gonna run this weekend.

I know you're using braided line, but just curious, did you think to order and use ethanol/methanol/alcohol safe rated fuel line?

It's safe for any fuels or oil, I even used it for trans cooler lines.

Well I fired it up yesterday no problem. The fuel pump really moves some fuel, it looked like a garden hose when I purged the feed line.

I didn't drive it, still need to secure all the fuel lines and put the bed back on. It starts right up, runs perfectly at idle and the gauge never left 60 psi.

UPdate: Since the last post we moved into a bigger house with a great big 2 car garage. I finished putting the truck together and it ran great. I drove it all over Safford Az, it was my daily driver. The small tires were not working so well.
