First time posting. I have an 86 sierra classic step side. It came with power windows and locks. My question is what do the plugs look like that the passenger door plugs up to in the dash. The door is a replacement due to the original one missing when i purchased the truck. I cant get the only plugs i see in the dash to match to the plugs coming out of the door.

The first image is the plugs in the dash.

The second and third photo are the plugs coming out of the door.

What do i have here?

I looked at the 80 wiring harness that i just pulled , but it only has a 4 wire connector.
I can look at my 85 and get ya a pic when the sun comes up.

Not sure this will help or not. This is my 85's connectors, just two fo them in my system, yours seems to be 3 connectors.

you should be able to match the wire colors from the male and female to hook them up.

Just reread your post, I'm guessing you door wiring is from a different year, and you might have to do some cutting and splicing

You can re-terminate the door wiring using the correct shells. I'd go that route rather than butt splicing it.
The part numbers for the shells are in the GM wiring diagrams. Mouser Electronics has many of the shells that aren't obsolete.

The 2 and 3 cavity male pack-con connectors are soon to be obsolete so in my door harness kits I have gone to 280-series metri-pack for most of the mating connectors.

If you need the correct shells and terminals let me know-I stock nearly everything for these trucks from 73-up. I have some experience offering NEW harnesses for these trucks unlike what anybody else is likely to ever offer so I can help ya out. For example...a CC window/lock harness...
