idle around a corner kills motor

If I just idle through a turn with clutch in going fast it kills the motor wtf power steering pump kills it im guessing...belt to tight? Idk wierd let the clutch out itll fire right back up

Maybe a float issue? What about on the throttle through the same turn and the same speed?

If im giving it gas its fine no hesitation no bog just does it when coasting through the turn..

In gear ....havent tryed neutral ill see tomorrow ..ive put new clutch in recently aswell if thats what your thinking cant remember if it did it before or not.

You have an edelbrock carb, right?

Yes a 750 1407 converted to electric chock.. which iv had every problem with there is. I want to replace it with a truck avenger. For wheelin just need to find one cheap.

I would borrow a different carb and try it first. Not likely you would lose fire.

Edelbrock is the problem...thats one of the things they are notorious for. Its a design flaw. Qjet or Holley, and be done. Truck avenger is the way to go for seriouse wheeling, purpose built.

Ya there spendy 450+ new ive seen used ones cheaper just dont have extra $ right now. Would it be best to change out the intake to holly too or does it matter

depends on which carb you get, but an adaptor would do the trick.

Drove the truck to work today it does do it in or out of gear.. you can see the tack change from driving straight to turning it drops down dosent kill it every time though just when im not paying att to it. Tighter the turn the faster it drops.

Quick fuel they look sweet as soon as I can put a built motor in the truck. Ill try and go fuel injection try to budget it in to the cost of motor
