How would you make this truck less ugly??

Help me make my square less ugly lol. I don’t want to do any patching/painting body work as I like the rusty farm truck look. But I want it to look rusty in a cool way not just a scrap pile way.

I need to get rid of the oxidation on the paint, but will probably have to polish by hand due to the rust spots.

Replace missing trim or get rid of all the trim and add stripes?

New rear bumper that isn’t bent and rusty?

What would you do??

All or none!! Either fix it or leave it alone.Maybe weld in a patch panel or two over the fender wells and pull out that dent in front fender and put a light back in it. Touch them up with a rattle can of grey primer. hook a chain onto the bumper and pull it out to close to straight and make sure it doesnt fall off... and call it good!!

Runs well most of the time! I’ve done a lot of work to it: custom exhaust, new carb, new fuel system, all new brakes etc. Sounds much better than it looks which is kinda fun

Straighten that rear bumper is a must. Then just rock it. And fix the l/f turn signal haha

I like the color scheme. The fender needs some love, so the signal light can be replaced. What happened to the rear wheel well? Did it rust out or did some one use a can opener on it. I would try and remove the old trim mounts and buff out the paint. The wheels are nice. They could be polished. All in all it looks like a solid daily driver. I'm in the same boat as yourself. My truck has many dents and is starting to rust a little more everyday. Body work is time consuming if doing it yourself, and expensive if farming it out. How's the interior ,and frame.

I would mount up some white steel rims with dog dish hubcaps....and maybe some oak sideboards.

I'll repeat what has already been posted. Get some fork blades under the rear bumper and even it out. Booger weld a cheap wheel arch panel in back, grind it and spray it.
Last but not least, some 31s over a set of OE rallies.
No lift kit, no window tint, no swampers; if you want your truck to look sexy and turn some heads at the post office, go old school OE.
Edit, looks like you have a 3/4 ton so no go on the rallies, but there are plenty of good looking rims out there that don't come with a pair of nuts to hang off the trailer ball.

It looks pretty cool as a "beater". If it runs good and you like the look then drive the wheels off of it!! You may want to start fixing the rust so it doesnt get worse.

It’s a Minnesota truck that will continue to see salt and it looks pretty good, actually. I’d fix the bent bumper and the dent around the turn signal area. Perhaps, you could add some fender flares to hide the rust around the wheels. Hang some used chrome trim on the two tone.

The color is my favorite part for sure. It had a long hard life as a farm truck so it’s all rusty. Front fender dent is from a tractor. Who knows why the bumper is crooked. I redid the interior completely because it smelled like the mice that lived there.

Take the left front fender off work the dent out best you can from the backside. Clean it up,trim the wheel arches,there's a sweet,black k with a girl off road,cut wheel wells on here but I can't find the pics. I put a pic of cut wheel wells at the bottom, you wouldn't go this big. A set of tires, clean the paint, straighten the bumpers. Truck would look good without a lot of money spent .The reason I said trim the arches and take the dent out from the backside. I'm looking at no paint,no welding,it won't be perfect but it will look good. Working a dent out that way,you start from the last place bent and start working towards the first place bent. Meaning if it was hit in the very front start working from the furthest place back that is bent. Resist the urge to start by pounding out the biggest part of the dent. Slow,steady,little bites.

I’m happy to see you have stone guards at the rear wheels to prevent any damage… jus’ kidding! Your truck looks cool! I wouldn’t change a thing. Drive it and enjoy it.

A second vote for aftermarket wheel flares, even if it doesn't cover the whole area missing it takes your eye away from it. Also post a WTB used trim. I am sure there is somebody throwing their old stuff out when painting a truck.

Imho, add the missing trim, un-bend the bent stuff and leave it alone. Then enjoy it!

If you want to get rid of the ugly, simply remove the driver

I’d either patch damages get a new bed make it look pretty or keep it for how it is
