I own an all original 87 Chevy Step Side that has 68,000+ miles on, it's in great shape, no rust. I just retired so I have the time now to upgrade the sound system. Does anyone have pictures of mounting an amplifier behind the bench seat. Bench seat is out and so is the radio. I have a 4 channel Kenwood amp and a 10" enclosed sub.

Thanks

This is how mine is. It works but I'd also like to add either another strap or some sticky velcro to the lower side to hold it against the cab wall instead of letting it flop around.

Edit: in the past I had it mounted to a board and just set it underneath the passenger seat. That worked well too.

Welcome. If there's a will there's a way.

Thanks for the reply. My amp and sub look to be about the same size. Great pics.

The sub is a 12" shallow kicker personally I'm not a fan of the shallow square box. I just placed an order for an angled truck box that I'm going to try out. I'm really hoping to reclaim some rearward seat movement but we'll see how it goes.

Here is the other side. Don't mind the junk.

Didn't you build a box that went into the bed? Could swear I saw that on here. Those are some REALLY shallow subs otherwise. :hat:
Ahh, busted! Lol.

Way cool but way more than I want to get into. lol

I think Infinity and Focal have some ultra-shallow subs that aren't cheap. Might have to look into it more when the time comes.

Here you go. JL 13" shallow truck sub with custom box to spec. with the seat all the way back. JL 600W Amp. Stinger Capacitor felt like I bought a bigger amp and stopped the dash from blinking when I turn it up loud. Kenwood 4x9s and Kenwoods in the dash too. If I could change anything it would be component speakers instead of the coaxials, and the 13 can still handle more 200w juice at the OHM rating it has. I would like to switch the factory locations of the HVAC and Stereo, similar to @c10_pandemic on Instagram's setup. I am 6'2" and am sick of hitting my knee on the deck!
