Sure thing... and the magnets can't be seen unless you look underneath. I probably have 5 springs up under the dash somewhere...lol.

Yeah, they do have a way of disappearing, never did find mine when they broke, lol..

Well...as an alternative to the springs...since mine kept breaking and flying off to who knows where...I installed some rare earth magnets. The magnets are mounted up underneath of the opening and are very strong. No more need of springs.

The magnets can be purchased at Home Depot, Lowes.

I used the info in this thread to fix 75 Blazer's ashtray, but not untilI ordered $0.99 worth of 1mm rare earth magnets from Indonesia, off of eBay.
My spring was later found to be hanging on the side of the ashtray, disconnected from the dash and dangling.
I reset it with my pocket knife.
Works like a charm!

then the magnets showed up, uhh... cool...

I used to throw all my change in there until the wife threatened to break the ash tray with a hammer, lol, now I use em for AUX ports and ****.

It's sad to say anything I drive now a days doesn't even have an ashtray.

Anything new lol my stupid work truck 2015 Turd f250, the bitch I marrieds 2013 Turd edge. Last cars I drove that had ashtrays was my 87 300e and 97 A4. It will be nice to have a smokers window again.lol
