I think it’s a ‘67 and not a ‘69 but I guess I’m not surprised you didn’t know that either. Maybe buy a manual

:lol::worship:

I know this... I was just fishing from MisterB to tell me the difference between the aftermarket HEI and factory looks. But I may never know his thoughts. I feel empty inside. Lost even.

I've actually never used a points type (I've always just put on a HEI) so I really had no idea the difference, but I'm pretty good at using the googles.

Someone was warned (by me initially)
Not to give rise to dick responses

Now here we are, everyone's having a field day with this thread.

This will in time become the new "how not to introduce yourself" thread

Your 80 should have an HEI in it
General Motors starting using HEI in 1974 they were used on all engines in 1975 through the mid 80s
I like the ACDelco D336X cap and the Speedway Replacement HEI Distributor Cap
with brass contact. Built to the MSD standards
I like Standard Blue Streak Cap, Rotors, and Coils. AC Delco Parts quality isn't what it used to be.

Again, because the HEI in the '69 is aftermarket. The one in the 1980 is factory. Keep up.
It should still have a coil in the cap if it's aftermarket HEI.

Actually 87 and up. I've got TBI in my 87 V-20. It's a different style of High Energy Ignition.

Pretty much. A forum without any fun or **** flicking is about as boring and useful as Wikipedia answers. With about the same level of incorrect ******** because no one wants to offend anyone else by saying they are wrong. This forum is fantastic and has saved my ass many times, which I've always apperiated, **** flicking included.
I was wrong two posts into this thread. I’m wrong a lot, but try to preface it with “I think” or “but I may be wrong”

Edit: oops, it was a different thread I was wrong in. Plug gaps...

Intelligent people spend the 30 seconds to search Google for their answer. Crayon eaters ask for their answers to be spoon fed to them, and then act immaturely; and toss insults at other more knowledgeable posters that don't answer their silly questions.

What's your favorite color to eat???
Not so fast there professor. The amount of misinformation available on the interwebz is overwhelming. Also being able to copy and paste does not prove you know anything.

And to answer your question...burnt sienna.
