Your 80 should have an HEI in it
General Motors starting using HEI in 1974 they were used on all engines in 1975 through the mid 80s
I like the ACDelco D336X cap and the Speedway Replacement HEI Distributor Cap
with brass contact. Built to the MSD standards

Um, if your 69 had it installed and you knew then what it looked like. Why are you questioning if you have HEI now? Just curious.

Oh, I need some popcorn....
Again, because the HEI in the '69 is aftermarket. The one in the 1980 is factory. Keep up.

I made my initial point, (not to show distaste), which I think your new best friend CSFJ and several others would agree with, then someone else reposted the memorable thread the Dick from California started, which that guy just showed up and essentially "whipped it out before foreplay" [emoji23]

Where's my popcorn? [emoji897]

Excuse the cluster f of hoses and wires, as my k5 is still "in process"

But there's my photo contribution of HEI off of my big block

Asking questions, and making sure I'm getting something right so I don't cause damage doesn't make me slow. Intelligent people ask questions and aren't afraid to learn. Insecure idiots do the opposite of that, or try to belittle those that are asking questions.

Get a life and move on from my thread. You have offered no help at all, and instead have stunk it up.

Intelligent people spend the 30 seconds to search Google for their answer. Crayon eaters ask for their answers to be spoon fed to them, and then act immaturely; and toss insults at other more knowledgeable posters that don't answer their silly questions.

What's your favorite color to eat???
