I changed the ignition switch on the back of the column on my 86 which solved the issue but when i put it all back together as soon as i hooked the battery back up the horn was blaring. I disconnected the batt and pulled the fuse, reconnected the battery and put the fuse back in and as soon as the fuse was inserted the horn was stick blaring again. I checked the pressure plate and contact as well the button and there were no issues i could see. Tghis truck has recently had the lock cylinder replaced but the horn worked fine until i put the ignition switch in. Could it be the way the high beam switch is setting?Any help is appreciated!

If it didn't do it before, it could be related to the ignition switch replacement. Maybe a wire got pinched somewhere? I'd revisit that area.

Just try looking really pissed when you drive so it seems like it’s on purpose.

It was a shorted wire. I noticed on of the screws arced and the horn sounded when i went to inspect the contact.
