Buggered up my truck Wednesday, helping my friends widow, backing watching the trailer and hot a post, just pushed the mirror, I thought. When I opened the door at Mom's, (visit every wed, she's 97, sharp as a tac, sweet as sugar,) hit the fender and would not shut. I know it is just a material think, but I sure felt bad about hurting the body. I do have insurance, and made a claim, but all the body shops either did not want to work on it, or are scheduled way out. Have to wait until Aug 20th for the estimate, and goes in the shop Nov 6th. In the meantime I hope to repair the cab mounts, inner and outer rockers on drivers /passenger side, just the big doesn't show stuff. I will paint the original colors, but thinking of leaving the chrome off because it seems to always come off. Have a guy in Portland that does exceptional striping, silver leaf, etc. Thinking of going that route. Feel free to advise, as this will be a big expense for me.
