Original Owner 1987 Chevrolet Silverado R10 longbed pickup. Truck was hit hard square in the rear. I need a frame. What year frame or Chassis is correct?

Well I dont have experience with a 87 R10 specfically, but I have alot of experience with alot of other squares.
Any C10, R10, C1500, 2wd half ton longbed frame will fit. Same size, same shape, will swap over. Although I cant guarantee that all the holes will line up exactly the same. I've personally put a 85 C2500 cab and body on a 76 K10 frame. Swap went well, no big hang ups.
Your truck body will also fit on a 4wd frame or a heavier 3/4 ton or 1 ton frame, 2 or 4, if you want to do the work.
Depends on how far you want to go, Haha.

And I'm sorry to hear about your truck by the way, that really sucks.

Dont know where abouts you are in Texas, but my junkyard here in town has a 1986 C10 frame (same as R10) that's in really good shape. I just took the bed off it. The guy would probably sell it for about $100. Hes really fair.
