Did you get a 60 psi sender or another 80 psi sender?

Not sure about hard second gear shift.

Looks like you have a oil leak on the exhaust manifold from the valve cover in the picture (2nd image).

What color is the oil on the dipstick on the dr. side?
The dip stick in the image should be the trans dipstick.

Red - ish color. Looks wet only because once I seen the wet- I took a rag and cleaned off.
Know it’s the trans stick- could it have spewed out the top of stick for some reason ???
Or worse- is there an issue with trans and he lied and just filled the trans fluid extremely high??

Sounds like maybe you need to verify the TV cable adjustment. I would recommend having a good transmission shop do this for you, as I 've been told it is super important for a 700R4 and should be done using a line pressure gauge. TV cable out of adjustment would absolutely cause shift issues and clutch slippage issues that would cause the fluid to overheat and boil out of the trans.

Thanks bud. I will have to find a shop to check that then. Was hoping it was nothing - when the wife asked…. After spending the money and traveling to VA - last thing it wanted was a trans issue….

well found out the clip that was not connected had to due with smog stuff.
took it to a trans shop today to check tv cable - adjusted and seems to be the same.

should be getting the rust repaired soon.

would like info on headers- how hard to do?? so i lose every thing on the truck now if i get headers...? needing new everything from there back?

missing some interior parts- whatever should be behind the seat- nothing.

need radio-

just read that my year truck = slow and no power for whatever the reason was...- so- eventually will need info on how to keep it stock -40k- so why not - no ls swap.
like the look actually tho it may not be everyones cup of tea or show quality stuff.

question ??? are these sites dead? vw and chevy guy- vw sites seem dead- and i used to post on a different truck site seems dead

Do you still have the bed rails, looks like they were shortened?

Couple more. Got sick of looking at the flaking clear everywhere- sooo….
Paint = no time soon- unless I decide to give it a go- will look to paint original color- but for now- I’m not mad at it- no more clear flaking- and since it was like 6 colors when I got it…. Now this….
