Addison from Angier NC just wanted to say Hello. Just traded for a squarebody that turns out to seem pretty unique.

1981 C20 4.1L 250 Custom Deluxe long bed step-side with AC, Cruise control. I guess the changeover year had an effect.

Having a hard time finding the vacuum diagrams or the wiring diagrams any leads would be awesome!

Looking forward to this restore

Welcome to the site from the Southern part of Harnett County. Long bed steppers are not as common as shorts; I believe that most of them got worked to death and have been recycled by now. Looks like a great truck to start with though.

Welcome from VA. Awesome find. What are your plans for the truck restore so far? Stock re-do? Resto- mod? Hot rod? Stepsides are the best.

I want to k

Here is some of what I have from my '81. I bet you can really feel the drag on the engine when the a/c kicks on! I also bought the laminated colored wiring diagram from Classic Car Wiring in Florida and like it alot.
Well the AC belt is currently off the truck. Currently working to fix some of the previous owners issues, long list before I get to the AC compressor.

Resto-mod she's also my daily at the moment, luxury of small town when work is 3 blocks from the house.
Plans so far:
1. I would like to do a 2 or 3 carb single barrel intake. Not sure how far I can push it before I have to change the cam. Thats on the back burner at the moment
2. rockers and floorboards. I used to work at a body shop so that's no big deal.
3. fuel tanks
4. get rid of the idiot light gauge cluser

the list goes on!
