Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!!

Pics huh?I'll tell ya right now I am NO photographer.And usually by the time I think "Hey I
oughta take a pic of this" it's too late.And if a pic DOES get taken usually something is on the lens,
most likely a smudge of grease (or a finger)...Here's the 85,clearly a work in progress.Silverado trim
on a 78 short step frame.The engine has since been 'dressed' and Lord willing will be running
today!

Seems I have a bunch more pics of the Camaro for so reason.This poor car was beat to death,can't
even begin to describe the shoddy 'repair' work done to it.It's a true Z28,found enough scraps ofthe build sheet to confirm that.And contacted the GM heritage center and got the dealers invoice.The
car was originally sold in Abbeville Louisiana,whick is where my 1986 Corvette was sold too.Kinda
strange coincidence,
First pic is where we found him.Car had been sitting for about 5 years.Had a stuck 305 2 barrel
but was surprising complete.
Second pic is right after I got him home.Oh boy was this car rusty!Floorboards were MIA.
Third pic is right after my shop was built.No motor or trans yet.He's wearing 16x8 cross spoke
wheels off my 1987 Trans Am WS6-another car I should have walked,no RAN,away from!

One thing I want to clarify-when I say I was a Merchant Mariner,I WAS NOT in any way
military.I worked for civilian companies strictly in the USGOM.If I had gone to work out
there about a year earlier I might have been involved in Desert Shield/Desert Storm,but
wasn't.In time of war I COULD have been called up,but thankfully that never happened.
This 'Stolen Valor" crap turns my stomach!Dad and both my brothers served in the USAF,
but the USAF didn't want me!
