I have the door panels and window switches out of my 85 chevy and I thought it would be nice to open them during the day to keep the cab temp below 100°. The schematic's say that pink is the hot wire and the driver window is brown and dark blue, but if I jump either to the pink lead nothing happens.
the switch schematic is a little confusing to me so I thought somebody could give me some insight

It might be easier to take a 12 volt battery and run leads from it directly to the window motor if the panel is off.

When I had my cab off I took the switch apart and ran 12 volts directly to the wires that used to run to the switch.
