I've decided to build my own forward tilt front clip on my '86 Sierra Classic. I've come to a BIG roadblock on how to do this. I'm looking at how I'm going to make the clip flip forward (will want the bumper to go with the rest of the clip). I've been considering cutting my chassis right behind the core support and having it tilt from there, is that a good idea? Otherwise I'm thinking I'd need to find a hinge system that would lift and tilt a full 90°. Either way I go ill be using a hydraulic assisted lift cylinders to help lift the clip, i have lightened up my panels but kept rigidity in them and I will be keeping the inner fenders attached. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also looking to find the right hinge system for this as well.

some info in the post here on GMSB. Search here and google is your friend. The fewer the words the better. Such as squarebody tilt front clip. Don't search "how to diy squarebody tilt the front clip".

I honestly think all the words "how to the and sometimes diy" limit or skew your results. Don't ask a question when searching the internet, use key words only. Sorry in advance, you may have known that already. If anything, others will see it and learn.

I'm interested in this because I have been planning to do this to the tuff truck because why not lol. Would look cool when opened
I've wanted to do it cuz it'd be easier to work on for us old "vertically challenged" folks.

My friend did it to his truck. I'm not any help on how he did it, It was 15 years ago. I can't remember if his bumper moved with everything else or not, and don't recall how he latched it.

What I do remember is the inner fenders were removed, and the hood and fenders were a unit. It was cool, and you could sit on the tires to work on the engine.
