hard to turn hubs?

Hello,

new here but have a little problem with my new crew cab. the hubs are very hard to turn. there are marks where someone has used a pliers or something to turn them. are they in need of maintenance or replacement?

please help

Probably time to service the hubs and bearings including the axle bearings inside the spindles.

Engaging manuals can be a two step process if they are a bit worn and/or dirty. Step one, place truck in neutral, hand rotate hubs to engage as far as possible. Step two, roll truck a few feet forward or reverse, hand rotate hubs to final engagement, the Outer Clutch Housing will smoothly into final engagement position. NEVER use pliers, hammer, other tools....

take the hubs apart and check it out, they are very simple to remove. I can go out on a limb and say the bearings should be regrease anyways
