I don't think you're nuts. I think the older German cars are pretty cool, well-built, and reliable, and life's too short to deny yourself the things you want when they're at least somewhat feasible to acquire. Plus, that thing would scream with an LS3. That being said I hate all of those sons of bitches they make now and have been making for the past bit. VWs, Porsches, Mercedes-Benz, and BMWs especially. They are over-engineered in my opinion, and they foreshadow the ridiculous beyond imagination planned obsolescence designs that haven't already caught on with the domestic automakers. Anyways, that's my rant. I know you like some of those newer things, and I understand why - because you're an adept mechanic on them, but they just don't blow my skirt up. The newer ones, that is.
I was with you till you called me a mechanic lol. Technician is more like it, mechanics replace parts technicians diagnose and correct. Some may not take offense to being called a mechanic but I always have....end rant. lol I'm just messing with you Jesse......just don't let it happen again.:D:happy175:

I gotcha. You have to excuse my lifelong exposure to the hillbilly Deep South. Everyone here who works on an automobile is a mechanic - even the so called technicians. I'm more of a technician, depending on what's being worked on, than 99.9% of these yoyos could ever dream of being, and that's not saying a whole lot.

I know what your saying but my truck is all but done and I need something to do. Building stuff is where I get the enjoyment and with out anything to do I will go nuts for sure. I pass that 560SEC everyday and it keeps speaking to me in a language I understand....it keeps saying help me....
You need to put a 14 bolt in your truck...

I had one and I sold it. If I break the rear it gets the dually rear from the C&C.
Oh yeah you have mentioned that before. Dual rugs throw lots o mud! And I prefer the c&c setup too. I want one of each. I have a regular dual diff, Dana 70 on the CC in my avatar. So that box and diff will eventually get thrown on to a reg cab. Or...
I also want my own damn tow truck. Kinda do a BSF recovery service. Always work like that around here. Also could call it MYOFB Towing...
Mind Your Own Fackin Biz. Not everyone who puts their car or truck in the rhubarb want the towing company to call the cops... and they always do.
hate the way cops and tow companies sleep together. Tow truck drivers always bragging how they get away with drunk driving...

That car in that first post... Yeah, go for it! I never actually knew what they were (besides a MB of course) and have only ever seen one. It was black and sounded very good. I thought it was cool.

Eh, technician/mechanic... whatever, lol. Same as junkyard/salvage yard or trucking/logistics. And others, haha.
