Looking to stroke it to a 496 to put in the truck
But I can't find the kit needed for a gen v
Most are early blocks and the Gen v is different in the crank
Anyone have a line to as where to find this kit?

Why go so much over the first time??? .060 is wasting alot of meat. I'm not saying don't do it. Just think about a 489 first. That's what I'm gonna build for my monte. I'm only gonna go .030 at first so I get alot more life out of my block. And I swear I've seen mark V rotating assys while looking for mine.

Other than it being a one piece crank seal , and specific head gaskets, what else is different ?

Pretty sure I read somewhere that gen 5 blocks have a longer snout. I think it was lunati.

Snouts are the same length. key way in later 5&6 blocks were longer(one long one vs two short ones in the earlier cranks)
