My 2WD Blazer build is really a tight budget venture. I have 2.5 drop spindles and am looking at what my spring options are. A little research revealed that the 67-72 and 73-87 springs are virtually the same with the exception of wire size.
Here are the specs:
67-72
Attributes
# Coil Spring Coils : 8.1
Coil Spring Free Height : 13.18"
Coil Spring I.D. : 3.68"
Coil Spring Load Height : 10"
Coil Spring Type : 1 Tangential End; 1 Pigtail End
Design Load : 2406
Spring Rate : 722
Wire Diameter : .75"

73-87

Attributes
# Coil Spring Coils : 8
Coil Spring Free Height : 13.64"
Coil Spring I.D. : 3.68"
Coil Spring Load Height : 10"
Coil Spring Type : 1 Tangential End; 1 Pigtail End
Design Load : 3155
Spring Rate : 843
Wire Diameter : .781"

The 67-72 is app. .500" shorter, has a design load of 750 lbs less and a spring rate of 122 lbs less. So, the question is approximately how much would using the 67-72 springs lower the front of a SB?

If installed stock I would guess no more than 1 inch.
