Front bump stops

Why does my 87 suburban have 5 front bumpstops? I'm used to the typical four,but this one has a 5th one(small round one) on the webbing of the diff. I have worked on several and this is a first

Pics? What are you calling bump stops? To me a bump stop stops upward suspension travel.

It is indeed a bump stop. Take it off any sweet jumps?? Apparently we're supposed to lol

My 84 had the same one when I got it.

Mine did have quad shocks.

Mine shows no sign of having quad shock option, did not see any evidence of it ever being there. This 10 bolt appears to have extra webbing on the passenger side and an extra bump stop. Once again new to me

I will take some in the morning, I was under there earlier,just didn't have my phone. I have owned many square bodies and this is an odd ball especially because it was a high option diesel and now it's gas,rear heater removed but rear ac still there I dunno lol. I'm trying to get everything I can done before winter comes.

I’ve never figured out the 5th bump, it’s common with quad shocks or diesels but not always there.

Quad shocks and heavy duty suspension options (probably also went along with the diesel) got the extra stop on the front differential.

Anyone know a source for replacement bump stops?
The regular ones on the outboard ends of the differential as well as the center one on the pumpkin?
