So I have a 1983 c10 lowered 5/7 new brakes,spindle,springs,ball joints
Rear flip kit....But after install I found out the frame is bent now I know
The 81-87 frames are the same but was wondering if I could also
Use a frame from a 73-80 and strip it re-plum it (gas and brake lines)
And just swap all the suspension over if I just modify the body mounts

73 to 80 frames use different rubber body mounts then the 81 to 87 frame does

use the matching rubber or poly body mounts for the year of frame and the body is a direct bolt no modifications needed

but the front bumper mounts different you will need to modify the front frame horns

Minor differences here and there, but your drop parts should work fine on any frame.

The only difference is the idler arm an bracket between those years. As long as you know which set you used so you can replace it later on you'll be fine.
