I have a 1984 Jimmy with a salvage title. It is my understanding the frame is 1976. Can't figure out numbers on driver's side of frame. Can anyone decipher these numbers. Picture attached.

Good catch I thought this was top down, but the holes and the "width" would be far too wide to be the top of a blazer railNumbers on the side of the rail are part numbers, date codes and supplier info.
The partial VIN will be on the top of the upper flange of the frame rail and will be in the format of
Model year
Final assembly location
Serial portion of VIN
Like EF12345
Where E = 1984
F=Flint
Etc
