This one is for sale at Copart Spokane. Unfortunately the Socialist Republic of Washington requires a license to buy clean title cars; maybe one of you guys has the ability to buy it? I can't.

Maybe someone can explain why you can't buy the vehicle? Here in Texas, we have our wholesale auto clearing houses, which require you to have a DEALER license to buy at one of their auctions.

I'm in Idaho, the auction is in Washington, apparently the general public can buy RV's, watercraft and vehicles without a clean title - so a bill of sale or salvage title would be OK. Only dealers and brokers can buy clean title cars in WA. At least that's what Copart says after I paid the membership fee.

Called a broker and, between Copart fees and brokers fees it would be $1900. Not a bad price if it drives, but more than I'm willing to pay sight unseen...

Must be a Copart rule. There is no state law I am aware of that restricts title sales. There is a limit on the number of vehicles a person can sell each year without a dealer license, that's it.

Probably won't sell for much. Subs are still relatively common here. I scrapped one a couple years ago.

Not a bad looking rig maybe for $3k ish. But also at Copart so there’s a reason it made it that far down the vehicular food chain towards the dump.
It’s not even close to being a good value at $5k ish.
And not worth the hassle, especially with the plethora of good 4wd Burbs around here at good prices. Generally from owners that you can get a little or a lot of history from and have more info to make an informed decision.

That’s a $2500 find on Craigslist all day long, here.

I'm guessing it's a Copart thing. Seen more than a few in Spokane and CDA. If I could have added this one to the fleet for peanuts it would have been nice, especially seeing as it has rockers.

Really only on there looking for a donor Yukon or Suburban to steal the powertrain for my '90.

I purchased an inexpensive parts truck from IAA and a couple cars, policy's might be different. Like everything today, parts vehicles aren't the deal they used to be.

Too bad sub seat belts aren't interchangeable with pickups. Most I see are power windows so driver's door panel isn't either.

NO not a Washington state requirement I've bought cars and trucks at auction in Washington where I live.... That is a Copart rule NOT a Washington state law....

That's it, just what you said is all I'm aware of. I've bought at public auctions without an issue.
