I was just looking at ebay and spotted a BRAND NEW ORIGINAL FACTORY STAINLESS Tailgate band. No Box. Price was only $2000+. :Insane::sorry:

There is no way I would buy that. Are they kidding? WTF? I guess they are shooting for the moon and hoping some idiot buys it.

Edit- I just looked again and it wasn't there. Someone took it down . Amazing...

pretty, but more than I would spend. I took a look at the other items offered too. some interesting stuff, but unless your doing a 100 point, period correct resto, teh pricing is a bit steep.

I tell you some of that stuff is what I have been looking for for a long time... But not at those prices. That three-bar push bar hes got would be sick, but not for $800!

^Add me to the list. I can't believe what people want for some of this stuff. I guess what they want and what they get is two different things. I can't believe someone would pay that much money for a push bar.

I would go to a local metal fab shop and have someone weld one up out of aluminum. It has to be way cheaper than what that one costs.

That's what's crazy, people do pay those really high prices for parts like that.

^My guess is that is part of California's emissions control crap. Notice the washer lines are unplugged.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-O...5e589eec8&item=231484288712&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

Looks like the same thing as from this recent thread.

Looks like it might be a decel valve - they always seem to be mounted on the t-stat housing for some reason. Here is what it looks like on later models:

But, there are usually two bigger hoses attached to it as well the small actuating line - so who knows? Is the EPA sticker still on the radiator support frame?

Oh yeah. It sounds like my truck too.:) Except mine has tail pipes. Yes, that is one of the nicest trucks I have seen in awhile.:)
