Too bad u no RWL

I have a set of those tires - bet you like em.
:ehcapt:

Maybe he turned them in? I have to tell our local tire shop to put the white letters out or they automatically put them in. I'm thinking I must be out of style now days.

I want them out. I thought most places put them out unless you say in, maybe it's a bunch of kids working there.

at stock ride height, and they kinda look silly IMO. I'd like to fill the wheel well a little more, and I like the taller, thinner tire look. Plus I'm hoping to get a little better mpg out of the thinner tire.
From what I've read, 33 inches is the max my wheel well can fit without modifications, so I found a couple different wheel/tire options I could go with.
I'd like to see some pictures if possible, and hear some opinions, of different wheel sizes with tires that fill my wheel well.

33/10.5/15
255/85/16,
255/85/17
275/70/18
245/70/19.5

Any pictures of these would be greatly appreciated.
I also need larger tires!

We've done it on both our Jeeps. I like it, the wife likes it, screw everybody else :)

Btw i zoomed in and noticed... hey @Goldie Driver i think its a squircle!!

Nice thought, but I do not believe so on a '79, although they certainly could have upgraded.

:p

Still partial to the round eyes, but that 80 Chevy grille with the squircles sure looks good !!

Nope 80 is a one off year. It's the only year with the egg crate small square opening grill. Now they bolt up to each other yes.

Looks like squircle headlight bezels to me... OP we absolutely need a picture of the front of your truck, this must be settled!

It's been so long I'm not sure what exactly we're debating. But you could have an 80 with round headlights....but it for sure is the only year with single large square headlights.
