Had a great couple hours in the shop with youngest daughter, replacing brake pads all the way around on her new-to-her car. She did a great job!

Haha, love the supervisers too! I told my buddy when I yank the motor out of my daily here soon that he needs to bring his 7yr old son up to help. He's already a gearhead so I wanna help keep that flame alive. He's gonna help me throw the cam in, might get him up here to help with the regear too

Very nice WFarm!
I have my daughters in the shop with me when I can (14 & 9), and I enjoy every minute of it. It looks like you've taught her well, doing her own maintenance.

She really seemed to enjoy the day. After we finished her car she was like “What can we work hard on next? I want to work on Billy!” (Billy is the Blazer btw)

So we removed the Blazers alternator in preparation for tomorrow when the new stuff is supposed to arrive.

Great day.

Some girls are mechanical. My oldest, Leah, started early, would take her up when she was little five or so, give her some tools and an ol' YF carter and she was happy for hours. Leah is in her 40's now and works with her husband on there rigs. She also has branched out into woodworking. Sooo this might last a lifetime, and now I get to work with her kids in the shop. Charlie and her dad working on the Ferd. My girls, Leah left, and Anna, don't know the ol' fart. Paul, looks like a big block in there?

Yes, it’s a LS5 454 from a 71 Chevelle. A bit overkill for a Blazer but it’s hell for cool.

Daughter picked up the basics pretty quick! Earlier she wanted to learn land navigation using only a topo map and compass. I was really surprised at how quickly she picked that up! By the second day I could mark a point on the map and tell her to take us there and then determine her coordinates and she could do it reliably.

She also learned she was out of shape.:hahano:

Not to be outdone by the daughter, the wife helped with changing the oil and filter on her Jeep. :love62:

I needed the Jeep a bit higher as you can see, but then she wouldn’t be able to reach things.
