Does anybody have experience transplanting a tilt column from an 84 Camaro/FB into an 84 C10 or similar??

I can get side by side comparison pics of those if it would be helpful.

But why, may I ask?

I do not have pics.
Ebay has a F bod tilt manual column for reasonable.
C10 floor shift tilt consoles are hard to come by and tend to be very pricey.............

Do you just want the shifter stub to be gone, or do you want the shift interlock?

S10 columns may be a closer fit and very common. I think I have one of those still too.

But anything besides a squarebody column is going to require some heavy mods.

Do you happen to have a pic of a square column from an 84 up? I only ask because of the column wiper switch might make a difference from the 83 and down version.

Yeah, the F-body column is definitely shorter overall. I think an S-10 column is somewhere in between, an a manual/tilt column is a little harder to find, but probably easier than a squarebody.

I haven't been out to the garage for pictures yet. I was told to stay indoors because of bronchitis. I'm tired of being couped up in the house though, so maybe in the morning when the wife isn't home, lol.

Here's a close up of an 84-87. I thought the wiper arm threads in and the wiring is external...(?)

No, the wiper switch arm just pushes into the switch.
If you have cruise, that wire will come up with the arm.
Don't pull it all the way out without tieing a piece of wire or strong on the end as you will have to tear into the column to get it back in place.

That wiper switch - and the column dimmer switch- is why that big hump is their in the upper part of the column versus the old round ones.
