Engine swap questions

In 87 they went to TBI, TBI heads have the center bolts at a different angle than the earlier heads. I believe all heads with center bolt valve covers have the different angle. You can take a die grinder and clearance it out and the early style intake will fit the later style heads.
And the later engines don’t have a mechanical fuel pump provision correct?

It's kind of hit or miss on that, I've never seen a TBI engine without the mech pump hole and everything, and I've never seen a Vortec 5.7 with it. But I've been told by others they have seen both.
