ummm, not sure what your talking about exactly lol. But im going with glasspacks, and ill have to see how loud they are. If they are to loud ill probly go with turbo-flows.

Still going glass packs huh??? I never did like them. Always thought they were good for temp use and that was about it. Are you wanting loud??? Why loud??? If you're on the fence, I'd just go with the Turbos now. I guess you're not going with Flowmasters due to cost? True, you're buying a name. 89S got a real nice sounding knock off muffler for cheap on eBay. Just saying, I never buy a muffler to be loud. For 1, you're locking for performance, 2 I'd be buying a muffler for tone, not decible level. For a performance engine I like deep throaty groan mufflers. Glasspacks to me sound raspy and rattley.

I just like glasspacks, its a sound thats just pleasent to my ears. I dont really care for flowmasters, anything but idle and i dont care for it.
My exhaust guy made me a deal, he said if he puts on glasspacks, and it ends up being to loud, as in it atracts cops, then he will pull them off and put on turbo's. The only downside to that is turbos are double the cost, a peice. And 3" mufflers arnt cheep.
Im not getting them to be loud mainly, its just the sound i like. Its that 70's sound.

lol. the whole reason for 3", is cause I want little to no restriction. I want it to seem as if its dumping out of the headers as far as flow goes.
And just cause its different. You cant fail without trying. But i agree, usually i preach 2-2.5". But i guess you could say im preparing it. After this 355, im wanting to go BB, so as long as the headers dump close, it should bolt up.

Scavenging is your friend. 3" duals = no scavenging because your exhaust "flow" will be a swirly, turbulent jumble instead of a steady flow of pulses that help pull a fresh fuel/air charge into the combustion chamber because of the low pressure area behind each pulse.

In short, don't do 3" duals because science.

Lol, more bad news.....
Went outside and set it back on the ground(since i put the new crossmember in)
And went to start it and it wouldnt idle worth a ****. It was like it was choked out all the time. So i popped the hood and took off the air cleaner, and my intake has gas puddled on both sides. After closer inspection, my gasket is weeping between the mainbody and the lower butterfly body. So now its time for a rebuild.

I already had a carb kit on hand that i was planning on putting in my truck, but since Ive found no reason to yet, ive decided im gonna put it in the monte.

Well the monte currently had a carb that had the computer plug on the top, it didnt change the way it ran, it was just there. So now i had to find a carb that fit the kit i had. SO i went outside and found a 17057204 thats gonna be gettign a rebuild and then going on the monte.

And theres gonna be some parts swapped(choke, and misc.)

So when does this thing lose a vinyl top and gain an SS rear deck spoiler?

I have a NOS GM Spoiler stuck away in the shed still in the box. As soon as i start prepping for paint the top will go. I also need to get a nose and air dam.

Im gonna drive it as is for awile, since it wont be worth a **** in winter weather, Im planning on sending into paint then.
