Damn! I didn't realize that they could be set up that high! I need one.

The 1 ton from Northern Tool sometimes goes on sale for sub $500, I opted for the 2 ton since more is better generally. Since you are in Ohio, you might keep an eye on HGR surplus for a used "real" gantry (one that is actually or was certified for the weight).

More height is good too, that 11 feet (or whatever it is) quickly shrinks after you add a trolley and a chain fall.

I wouldn't throw away your cherry picker if you get a gantry though, some things are still easier with the cherry picker.

Lowest is something like 99 inches, and high is 141 I think

I haven't used my cherry picker in probably 3 years. I prefer my old loader tractor. It ain't going anywhere though, I know I'll need it many times in the future.
