I have a 91 suburban. New door seals installed. New striker installed. Front doors are hard to close completely like they always do but I have done all I can think of except replace the latch assembly itself. Would a bad latch assy be hard to close? I am having to slam the door to close. I think I have the striker all the way out that it will go. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Any chance the door opened abruptly since you’ve owned it, ie: wind day and flung open

Have you tried rolling down a window and closing door? I've owned many of these trucks and it seemed they all shut better with window cracked to equalize pressure. My current truck (86) is the same. Closes with one finger with driver window cracked. Have to slam with window shut. Our 79 when brand new was like this.

That's very common with new seals. I'd highly doubt the latch is causing it, though not impossible. I have to slam my doors too now that they've got fresh seals on them, it takes a good long time for them to break in. Also, these trucks suck at venting the air when the windows are up, everybody I know of has to slam theirs if the windows are all the way up, except for a couple guys that have cut NBS cab vents into the back wall.

91 truck doors can be modified to fix this problem as well by modifying the vent assembly

should is operative here, you may not have one or 2 but worth checking in my opinion
