Guess what. The planets didn't align. It's running, and very smooth, had the tach hooked and spun her 6300, car hardly vibrates much less shake. I dunno, didn't do it. So it will go, but wouldn't stop. Old Ford drum brakes. Get them adjusted and bled and and for about a quarter turn the driver side would lock up. It's getting fabercobbled coonass disk.

Do you have the right master with the brakes? I long time ago, i tried hooking up a drum and disc master, on a 4 wheel drum system, and just couldnt get it to work. Figured out thats was why.

Dunno? Using the master that was in the car. Figure a pump is a pump, ish. Do know, when we get these disk mounted on the rear, and it works, that's what we are going with!

They are on there and working, ain't drove it, but they lock up.
Ayden brought up the master, a good point. Does anyone know of a master that will bolt up where this one is. It's what was in the car, regular ole master cylinder. A master that only has one resevior and a singe bore/ pump, what ever you would call it? Just one pressure line coming out. Being how now it is running 3 calipers that are the same, just front GM brake calipers. I have thought of just capping the front res, or rear brakes and t ing off the large one just swap the big line to the big fesevoir.

You could maybe try to find a master off of a 99-200and whatever chevy truck. I know my boss's 2000 silverado has discs front and back factory on that truck.
Might bolt right in.

She drove out the shop under her own power. Cut a few laps around the brush pile.

Ole Donkey went to town Saturday. Tech guys said we had to deck the bed, so we did, or roofed it.

Will edit text in.
Ole Donkey is just about ready! Got the front end lowered, just took the springs out and cut them. Of course corrected the stance but now we are too soft. Before her nose stuck up in the air and had no front suspension, hit a bump it would just throw the car up in the air, supposed to get some spring rubbers today to tighten her up a bit. As of now have had no luck finding the springs I want, these things were 16 1/2 inches free, longest race spring I've found is 13? Have some better shocks ordered, be next week on them. Working on getting her some cool air, kind of a fabbercobbled mess but not heavy and should help. Got the brakes sorted out, ended up "borrowing" the master off my old 70 C 30 and can lock up all 3 now. As it stands we are going racing Saturday, pop her cherry and mine both! If we finish and not be plumb tore up I will consider it a success. If I get her out this evening I will work on posting a couple more pictures.

Edit again. We built her a fan shroud, and can't get her to temp in the shop. Also installed Murphy gauges on the temp and oil. They don't kill her but, turn a light on on the dash.

The learning curve is going to be pretty steep for this old slow country boy! We made it there and back all in one piece, not tore up at all actually. Easy to do when your in the back by yourself. Wire clip from the module to the dizzy cap come off during the heat, got pushed back to the pit. Finished the B main and Forrest Gumpped our way into the A. From the best lap in the heat (my first ever laps) to the best lap in the A we improved 12 mph and 3 seconds If I recall, so happy about that, do that again and will be with the leaders. Biggest issue, short of plain ignorance, is when I'd have to turn her off the corners, 2 and 4 the ass end would try and run off, let off to collect it and everybody is gone! Moved some weights around and change some tires may help fix that? Other thing is, between the ear bud thingys, and the helment, neither of which have I ever wore, I couldn't hear anything. Just a rumble that I couldn't tell what was what? Going to get a tach in her this week so I'll have the info I think I need. It was all good, and a whole lot of fun, see how we do this Sat.

You gotta make friends in that class and get some driving and set up pointers. Or find someone that could scale it. Is there a gear ratio rule? These stock classes can be brutal with a lot of rules. My buddy runs factory stock class and the rear has to be 3.08. But, you need that tach.
I grew up in a stock car family, but it was asphalt.
