Ok so, I really liked the car before you started. But I still really like it! You will be my hero if you run some small lights on it and drive it on the street as well as the track.

That is awesome!! I love that. Great job man, that's really looking great. Love the wheels and tires too.

And I like Buckets idea.

Welp, 2 and a half weeks ago. Had everything all fixed up, motor and trans in, drive shaft in. Was working on getting the exhaust sorted, then it was ready to fire and get it tuned.
Thats when we learn, or learn that it is most probable that the track in Amarillo has sold. The buzz is it will run under USRA rules and national points next year. That would be good enough, though I hate associations, it ends up being money and politics. Because of a couple old, very involved stock car racers have run out and bought USRA Factory Stock cars, it seems that's what the track will be running. Though they will not say why, sure it is because they said they wouldn't. I need to figure out if this car can pass the USRA tech. The open bed is the issue, their rules dont say one can't run an El Camino or pickup but, there is a couple details that would disqualify one?
So anyway, gunna get the engine back on a stand, and get the car outside out of my way till I know for sure what is going on.

Here we go again. New track owners are cool guys and seems the stock car class will remain about the same.

Decent weekend. Delete on the right front brake and proportional valve. Got the rust off the tubes and new coat of clear. Was getting the engine and trans married when a bolt broke. Made it Miller Time.

Also, took the driver side door off and added a piece of 18ga sheet metal to the outside, per the rules, and got the door back on.
