Dome lights problem

Ive been trying to figure out why my dome lights have pooped out on me.

Dont have any power at the bulbs and my fuse was good that is if it runs off the ctsy fuse.

I've got a single white wire going to both of my jam switches. The pass switch has 2 male spade ends but only one wire. Did I loose one somewhere if not I think my problem may be in my dimmer switch

It sounds like you lost that second wire to me. I would suspect the jamb switches more than anything. Mine are frozen solid!

After poking around and staring at wiring diagrams
It looks like the power wire for them was unhooked on my fuse block

Dunno if thats it yet since I don't have a battery in lol

Mine has a "Dome Lt" fuse I think. X2 for the jamb switch, I need to replace the one on my passenger side. That would be wierd someone cutting the wire at the fuse box for the dome light. I would also check under for carpet or thresholds. The wire runs under there and can easily get broken.

Nope not the jam switches

Ended up being the power wasn't plugged into the fuse box

Although right now I have it plugged into the wrong spot and they come on with the ignition

I need a good diagram of the fuse block in my 85, where would be a good place to find such an animal? I am consistently draining my battery down to nearly nothing and I suspect i have something connected to the wrong slot somewhere. Sorry for the threadjack BTW

Now!!! Damn it didn't work that time! LOL
I actually really need a Fuse block map like would be found on the back of the panel door in a more modern truck. You know the sticker, on the back of the panel door, that shows what all the fuses control, and where they are in the panel.
