When I go over a bumpy road I hear a metal to metal gong type sound. Do you think its the cab mounts?
Thanks in advanced peeps.

it dont look like its sagging, if anything its slightly risen in the rear. but can you wiggle the cab and it moves separate of the frame, you would feel it. inspect them under front and back, they are in the open. if they look ok and the cab is "one" with the frame but insulated, then i wouldnt think that

usually bad cab mounts are more of a BANG BANG noise.

Nice lookin truck! Never seen that color combo before. OE colors?
Have you inspected the cab mounts? If they’re dry rotted and cracked, they’re bad. If not, the. Usually they’re solid. Just try to move the cab and see if there’s any play in the mounts.

I've had noises like that from shot trans mounts and/or exhaust.

When I replaced my cab bushings I found out that the old ones had collapsed enough so the transmission tunnel was touching the top of the transfer case. I didn't have any banging or knocking, but drivetrain noise really resonated from contact with the drivetrain. It was way quieter in the cab after the replacement.

Have you verified no metal gongs were left by the previous owner?:)

That is a really sharp looking color combo! I love it!

nice looking truck. the body lines on the Passenger side line up good. How's the driver side?

it's always good to go under and look at things. sometimes you find stuff, like that missing wrench. LOL. seriously get under the truck and start looking, try to move stuff that's not suppose to move. look for leaks. condition of rubber. look for scuff marks where something might be rubbing. every one should do this every so often on every truck. you will catch stuff before it cause a major issue.
