So the axle is at work and I work on it when I get the chance and that is never cuz it's so damn busy so I'm thinking of taking it home well see! Was going to throw some paint on it just ran out of spare time.

The guy I got the gears from had pressed the pinion bearing on so I was just going to see if I get lucky so set backlash and threw a pattern and ya completely off

I pressed the bearing off and raised the pinion up and was a little to far

Lowered the pinion and boom

Got the pinion bearing pressed on today and torqued down the ring gear next I will set preload on the pinion put the seal on and torque it down.

Ok got all the bearing pressed on set pinion preload and bolted in the carrier double checked back lash it changed to 9 thousandths while I like it a little tighter than that I wasn't going to press out bearings. pattern was still perfect!

Next I have to order the studs for the spring plate and lower kingpin caps.

The caps will be here today so tomorrow I will have some updates!

So the torque on these kingpins are 600 ft bl! In the past I barrowed one but now that is not an option 600 ftbl I think I'm just going to give it all the gun has got and then put a breaker bar and a Jack handle and give it some umpf pounds what do you guys think
