I ordered a new gauge bezel trim piece from LMC while upgrading to RTX gauges and I am stumped on the difference I see in my dash contour around the outer edge of the stereo when compared to the replacement piece and also every other dash I can find photos of online.

My truck is an ‘89 1 ton Crew. Was there a difference in the steel contour in this area based on 1/2 ton to 1 ton or anything?

I always thought the only difference was the shape of the radio hole.

The bezel is not reproduced at this time however they are regularly available in good used condition as they are essentially the newest bezel made and in low demand as only used on those years.

I have a couple woodgrain and silver faced. I'm looking for a plain black style.

I was also wanting a plain black style. I didn’t want to flush the money and time I spent on this bezel/gauge install so I improvised. It’s not ideal but I am totally content with the result.

Yes 89-91 Crew/Suburban/Blazer have 1.5 din radios and the different contour as shown
I never noticed that until looking at these couple of '91 parts Subs that I've picked up the last couple years. I didn't know about the electric cluster or power mirrors either until recently. I must have been too poor to mess with the new stuff...
