I figured this would be a cool topic to have on here. Im sure im not the only one here that enjoys the "street freaks" and gassers of the past. I like that style so much I even putting air shocks on my monte to jack up the back lol. (said car is attached)

So feel free to post pictures of preferably cars of the 50's,60's, and 70's. Im trying to keep this as time appropriate as I can

Surprised to not see 1 Moon Eyes stickers on none of those. Not sure I've mentioned it before. I met Dean Moon several times. His shop was in walking distance of the house I grew up in. I used to walk up there and stare. When I did start racing and wanted good gauges, I bought Stewart Warners from Dean Moon. He was on Norwalk Blvd on the Santa Fe Springs city limit side of Lakeland Rd. I was also living in Norwalk when he died. I remember that day. All the street race buds were talking about it.

Just about all those old timers like Carrol Shelby, Micky Thompson are gone now. Dean died in 87 or early 88. I know it was before my daughter was born and after I'd have graduated high school. Mickey Thompson was murdered long long ago, Shelby died in recent years, and not sure whch Bill you're talking about.

Smith, Speedway Motors. His wife passed on last year in august, and now he has joined her.

Guess I don't know of them. In So Cali, I got all my speed parts from Speed O Motive there close to the house, or PAW in Chatsworth, CA. Occasionally from Super Shops too when they'd have a sale on something like cheap Black Jack headers or an occasional B&M shifter or shift kit. Everything else came from the bigger guys.

Speedway Motors is a Pretty damn big company. He owned and sponsored alot of Big names In the dirt track and road race world all throughout the US, including Cali.
