So went down to tire shop this am. The guy who installed em wasnt there so had to wait on the manager an hour. The new guy tried to say $30. I told him I iust paid two days ago, and their mistake, so shouldnt have to pay twice. Had to wait on manger. He initially tried to say it is because I didnt bring the car down when I just brought the rims n tires, but eventually got her done.

Looked underhood to see if front strut top bolts need tightening...
Found a torn ps rack boot by inner tie rod that is in the area of the leak so may be the issue... May be just an additional issue...

So yesterday, everything went wrong...

On the drive to get the tires re mounted, I jeard a jingle bells sryle ratrling that I knew had to come from the rear upper strut bolts not being tight enough, so had to blow thebingerior back apart to get in there... So sucks doing it twice but I was fighting nightime yesterday... It's done now... Only a few theeads gripping before

So after yhe drive and waiting 35 min to get smogged, right when the tech puts my car on the rollers, he says have you had any battery problems? I say no just replaced the bungie.. He says your car wint start. Im like great, wondering if it is heat soaked from the drive...turns out the whole vable could just lift off the top mount post, so after tweaking it she fired right up, but then the guy points out "that just deleted the drive cycle memory and youll have to do it again". I just threw in the towel yesterday... Nothing was going to be accomplished, so I took a break

I agree. So many more options avail. Homebrew superchargers, etc. Have to have C.A.R.B. Approved parts. You can avoid smog with pre 75 gas or pre 96 diesel.

This is what I refer people to everytime they ask how to get more MPG from their truck lol.

If it's a concern, this is hands down, the number 1 way to increase MPG. Going from 14 to 15.8 mpg makes a fart in a hurricanes difference. Going from 14 to 30, is significant.

I once had a 2.3 ford 4cyl notch and got the spectre intake (non smog), then added turbocoupe m90 supercharger...
It was fun until rear maun blew bht having to undu every two years for smog, no good.
