I basically had to get the white hooked bottom into the eyelet in front of it, but there was a metal flap on window rail blocking me.

Here you can see the flap better...

To do:
1) struts/shocks to get suspension back as it is shot
2) drive and see if CEL stays off. I think it will.
3) smog
4) register.
5) paint trim black around window
6) see if leak vs ac cimpressor
7) seat belts + covers
8) maybe maaco and runnit till the wheels fall off.
9) maybe do rad, alt, starter along the way

I'd admit though, I'd take a Yota over a Kia any day of the week. I don't care for the Zero Clearance timing belt engines. Not sure about that Tercel engine, but I know the later Corollas are actual timing chain engines and NOT Zero Clearance. I snap a timing belt in this Kia, it's going over the scale as I won't go through the expense of a new head or engine just to have it happen again.

Thought all interference engine Toyotas got a timing chain, I dd a 2010 Corolla S bought it new in '11 has 140k on it now. have only changed the oil, air filter, wipers, tranny oil (stick) and tires.

I still have to get into the particulars of this model...I will pressureI wash engine and do that part next..I think its something like a second gen 5e-te fi model, but timing belt was done 120k, so hopefully still good.
Nice daily. I always enjoy looking through your threads.
I appreciate it. This forum is the best for build threads. Im still old school and no you tube yet for me.

All day but done.... Can't wait to detail engine bay like never before.... Likely tommorrow will take tires down as they are directional and he mounted two backwards... I hope the guy dont get shady about it because I got no reciept....shouldn't be a problem though....
So in the near future:
1) Degrease/pressure wash/ detail....

2)If im feeling frisky, I'd paint window trim black....

3)I was going to align... But with need for 4)cv axle, may wait...

5)Also may have some slight coolant or ps fluid leak...maybe just ac compressor condensate drip... Likely will pressure wash first to have a clean spot to locate it if there...

Then drive around to cycle the cpu from resetting cell, maybe air filter/ oil change, and smog, then register and she should be golden...
My girl is looking for seat covers but I am trying to convince her of a part out/ junkyard seat swap..
