Remember the black door panels?

here is the beginnings of the seat same material same design as the door panels/headliner, it’s for a 67 through 72 Chevy truck. It’s bench seat also.

very similar to the other design I just did but slightly different.

That happens pretty often when customers see what you’re currently working on they typically want the exact duplicate

majority of the time you can talk them into making slight different changes to avoid getting the other customer upset for copying their design exactly.

This is what we found under 3 yes 3 seat covers.

If you look close you’ll see broken seat springs sticking out of the cover.

Plus a ton of rust and a serious rodent infestation.

Man I love old seats...

No nothing even close to salvageable the rodents consumed and desiccated what they left.

The contents being wet so long when the foam and materials finally dried everything was completely destroyed.

Lots of rust as a result. So it’s a total rebuild. Not just a custom cover.

Since you work with leather, which brand of cleaner/conditioner do you recommend to your customers?

I haven’t ran across a bad leather conditioner. The key to nice long lasting leather “anything” is regular care and conditioning.

Whatever you use just use it at least every 90 days.

Once a month is best .

Saturate the leather let it set 24 hrs or overnight and wipe of any access if there is.

If it absorbs all of it put more on and repeat.
