epoxied in place. I epoxied from the back with masking tape holding in place, once cured enough I pulled masking tape and epoxied the front also. I will sand smooth once I am ready for my final finish. My final finish will be 3m di noc carbon fiber vinyl. So my finish on the front face does not need to be perfect. Just smooth so the vinyl will look nice!

Holes were cut with 2 1/16 hole saw on the small ones. The larger ones were center cut with a hole saw and then trimmed with a jig saw and filed to achieve perfection!

Personally I think the angled look would be worth the extra time. Just thinking in my head some simple wood working could get you the angled look. The gauges could be recessed or not recessed too.

The small gauges have the angle rings on them. The speedo and tach do not. They do not make them that big. More to come on this on Monday!

I thought the shaker gauges were angled but not sure. For the bigger ones I'm thinking an angled cut of wood with a hole cutter and a bit of drilling could get you the angled look, just paint them silver to match the trim on the outside of the gauges. Just a thought

I know what your saying I think I'm going to see what it looks like once it's done and in the truck before I mess around with making rings for the larger diameter gauges. After all it is custom.

After looking at this again, it makes me wish I had some gauges laying around I could play with.

Ok so after epoxying the front and back of my pieces they need a little sanding smooth. Next will be to mark and make holes for my turn signal LEDs and hi beam indicator.

So by using the old brushed aluminum trim from the bezel as a pattern we have a pretty accurate cut out for the carbon fiber! Now I only traced the outline to fit. The additional holes will be trimmed after the vinyl is installed onto the bezel.

Just a test fit after cutting. Going to be gluing it in place in just a minute here. This vinyl is self adhesive. So I'm using the 3m adhesive promoter to ensure maximum adhesion! Here goes nothin
