Does anyone have a decent picture of the coolant overflow hose, specifically at the overflow tank end? I just got a new tank/cap from LMC. But the inlet for the overflow hose is not what I was expecting (ie: a hose barb). It would appear there is flared end, or pre-made plastic end that connects to the tank? I assume another LMC purchase?

Are you asking what the hose looks like itself or how it attaches to the radiator?IIRC, on my truck( I can c heck in morning) the overflow hose on one end spring clamps to the radiator by the cap(cap regulates temp, allows flow into or suction out of tank) and the reservoir has a cap with a hole that the tube goes straight down into the reservoir.

Now if im thinking of my 1977 Ford LTD with a big block 400, then the truck instead clamps onto the bottom of the reservoir with a spring clamp. Not a high pressure connection.

You take a 5/16 hose I believe and shove it in almost all the way to the bottom of the tank. I just zip tied around the tank part to lock the hose in place.

As drifter mentioned the hose goes inside that “barb” not around it. To create the return function that hose needs to be slipped all the way in close to the bottom of the over flow tank. Then he mentioned adding a zip tie around the “barb” to keep it from moving. I don’t like the OE style personally I have mine dumping strait to the ground no overflow until I can find one I like.

uses a spring clamp to hold it in place. The hose should go nearly to the bottom of the bottle but not touching the bottom.
