Cargo Light Switch

So this is embarrassing. I'm having trouble locating my cargo switch connector. I can see the dome wires and their corresponding connectors hanging in the C pillar, but haven't been able to snag the one for cargo. Checked the Chiltons and nothing showing the route. I don't want to yank on 39 year old wires blindly so thought I'd ask.

It should run the same path as the dome. Pull your door sill plates off and check from there. You should be able to see them in the corner of the cab I believe.

Interior is stripped. I can't find it in the pillar where it connects.

The cargo light harness plugs into the dome light harness at the base of the C-pillar, then runs up separately from the dome light. The two harnesses usually take the same general path, but can move around separately from each other. You should be able to fish around in the cargo light switch hole with a bent piece of baling wire and snag it. There are a few pictures in the linked thread from when I completed the install of a cargo light in mine awhile back.

Ah yes, I believe I've seen that pigtail connector hanging out a few inches up in the pillar. Maybe it was the other way around. I can't remember now.

Thanks all! Once I could tell there was a separate pigtail, I knew it got sucked up into the roof by the PO. Had to pull the cargo light assembly to free up the wiring and pull it back down. It's in now!
