There are advantages and disadvantages between a carb and fuel injection. For me, my truck is primarily used to backroads and/or off roading trips.
My carb couldn't adapt when I would get to 9000', it would starve for fuel when going up very steep hills, then try to flood when going down very steep bumpy trails. With the fuel injection this isn't an issue.
However my engine's idle is supposed to be set to 650 RPM. Even with the idle screw backed ALL the way out my idle is at 850. When it gets hot it likes to surge or when at partial idle it likes to surge. This is horrible when I"m in 4 low. Edelbrock wasn't much help solving with these issues.
The whole kit was well made, and the documentation is good. I like their software on a tablet- I can easily keep an eye on things with it. Their product just doesn't work well with my engine. Does it work better than my carb? Yes, but still a bit disappointed.
The dry manifold of the pro flow would be a huge advantage for me in the winter when the engine is cold. I still have fuel puddling issues for the first few minutes with my current setup.
