Wont go any further up. When its tilted and locked, the head is at the tip of the end

Not UP --- Forward, nearer the diamond plate triangle.. Involves cutting through the four welds and rewelding in new location... There's plenty room for it to fold and lock.

Cut off the foot, turn it 90 degrees, then weld it back on.
